Covid-19 Photography Session Procedures

Working so closely with newborns, small children and pregnant mums means that Health & Safety within my studio has always been of the utmost importance, but in light of the current Covid-19 Pandemic, extra safety measures are now in place. These will be adjusted as and when it is safe to do so and I will update clients before every session so they know what to expect and how to prepare.

Following the guidance of the Welsh Government we are currently following the Stay At Home advice, as soon as we have moved on to the next stage I will be offering outdoor sessions. These will follow the safety guidelines detailed below:

  • All bookings will be made via phone or email and payment via bank transfer or paypal, no cash payments.
  • In accordance to the social distancing advice I will ensure I stay a minimum of 2 metres away from you at all times and use a long lens for any closeup photographs.
  • I request that everyone taking part in the session must also stay a minimum of 2 metres away from me during the session.
  • If you or a member of your household is feeling unwell, even if it’s not covid-19 related they must stay home and we can reschedule the session.
  • If I am unwell I will be in touch to reschedule your session.
  • All outdoor sessions will be between 30 & 60 minutes.
  • I will have a clean mask with me for every session which I will wear during my time with you.
  • Image viewing appointments will take place in the studio in July at the earliest and this is only if the government continue with the lockdown reduction as set out in their plan.
  • All print and product orders will be sent out to you in the post or via courier at no extra cost.
  • Hand sanitiser will be available for you to use at the beginning and end of the session if you need it.

When the Welsh Government declare it safe to provide studio photography we have these measures in place:

  • Before and after every session the studio will be cleaned, this will includes all door handles, tables and items you are likely to come in to contact with which will be cleaned and wiped with an antibacterial solution.
  • Contact will be minimal, no hand shaking, and I will wear a mask and gloves when posing baby for extra precaution.
  • I normally provide drinks and snacks for the session but during this time I will request that you bring your own in order to reduce contact with unnecessary objects and surfaces.
  • After using any items used such as outfits, wraps, blankets etc they will be placed in a basket to be washed after the session.
  • If in the event that I start to feel any of the symptoms associated with Covid-19, then I will close the studio for two weeks and you will be invited to rearrange your session after this.
  • After the session, for the safety of myself, family and future clients, if you become unwell within 7 days please let me know immediately regardless of the severity.

This is such an unprecidented time that we are living through and these safety measures have been put in place so that we can provide a safe environment to photograph you and your family. Thank you for helping me follow these measures and if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask and I look forward to seeing you for your session.

Many thanks,

Suze xx
