Vicki and i went to High School together, but not seen each other for years since she came to watch me play when i used to be a DJ (…which feels like another life now!) so i was thrilled when she asked me to photograph her wedding.
Surrounded by their family and friends they were married in Ruthin and celebrated into the wee hours afterwards… i don’t think i’ve even seen Vicki so happy and i’m over the moon she’s found her someone that makes her grin from ear to ear.
Here is a small selection of their special moments, there is lots more to see so if you are a wedding guest Matt & Vicki will have the full collection to share with you all.
Thank you for a wonderful day and for making me feel so welcome….and sorry i couldn’t stay and drink….even though Bob was very temping with his repeated offer of a Baileys 😀

Steve & Siobhan’s Wedding was so enjoyable from the moment we got there until we packed away in the evening…these two souls are seriously the most chilled, happy & humble couple i’ve ever had the pleasure to photograph. So grateful for every little detail and everyone involved in making their day as special as it was.
The were married at Bersham Church which is incredible and nestled in the beautiful woodland, I joined them on their Big Double Decker bus which transported them there and then back to the Croes Howell who were brilliant and made sure every detail was just perfect.
The pianist entertained everyone inside, the cocktail bar outside kept drinks flowing with the live music in the background and the sun shone all day…..it couldn’t of gone any better!
Their gallery is huge because there was so much to photograph and it was very hard to pick just a few, but here is a handful of their memories…..
What a day….didn’t want it to end! Thank you for letting us be part of it!

How i ended up photographing Craig & Lorna’s Wedding is quite a funny story as we met early last year….whilst both in hospital, both of us struggling to breath or talk we formed a friendship that lead to her coming to find me when Craig proposed to her!
They were married at Northop Church & then went on to enjoy all their celebrations at Rossett Hall….it was a fabulous day from start to finish! So glad you found me Lorna we had the best time capturing your special day!
Here is a handful of your memories… it was so hard picking from the final 800!! So to all the wedding guests reading this, if you aren’t in here don’t worry you are in the full collection that i will deliver to Lorna & Craig 🙂
Thank you so much for having us there … we loved every minute!

(Thank you to the wedding guest who stole my camera in order to take this photo…a rare moment that we are both in front of the lens!! 🙂 )

Neil & Sarah were married at the Lion Quays, Oswestry. I love returning here because it brings back all the memories of my own wedding that we had on a sunny autumn day in October 2010. The grounds at the Lion Quays are beautiful so we were grateful that the rain stayed off for them to enjoy them and the children (…and adults) had lots of fun and games!!
They had a wonderful day with their 3 amazing children, family and closest friends and here is some of their memories of their special day….
It was a pleasure to capture your day and i wish you lots of love for your future together xx

Something i don’t often get chance to do is just play, and this weekend with it being ‘Mothers Weekend’ ( Because a day simply isn’t enough! 😀 ). Sophie wanted to come to work with me which i was apprehensive about at first because i was expecting “can we go get something to eat” “I’m bored now what can i do” “Can i have your phone” “How much longer” “Can i go on Youtube”…you know the usual complaints.
But she was brilliant, helped out doing the music and choosing outfits for the clients she was a pleasure to have around plus we had time to have a little play. I’ve had some new backdrops and i wanted a few images of them for my website…….so i had an idea of what i wanted……..but with children what you end up with is very different to what you get!
Everytime i tied a headband or did her hair she would either start dancing, fidgeting or moving to how she thought would look best….and ‘My Vision’ was quickly disintegrating!
SO in the end i had to resort to Bribery and told her a trip to Waterstones would be on the cards later (which i was going to do anyway because she had been such a good assistant but it was meant to be a surprise) if we got a few photos.
And in her moments of stillness when she looks right through my camera to me i had what i wanted 😀
Well worth a £6.99 Book from Waterstones!! 😀
As a Mummy myself i know too well how attached i was to my precious little ones when they were born…. i didn’t want to put them down for more than a minute, never mind let someone else hold them!!
I have a very gentle approach when it comes to photographing babies…. i treat each one with the same care as i would my own. I have been trained in newborn posing by Jillian Greenhill, as well as Kelly Browns Newborn Bootcamp as well as several other workshops. I constantly keep up to date with my learning because i always want to provide the highest standard of work and care for my clients.
So i have put together this video for you, just so you get a little glimpse into a typical newborn session with me and if you have any questions or just want to come in and have a look around i’d love to hear from you, so please send me a message.
A couple of years i did a shoot with my sister in the studio but we had always talked about doing something less poised and more free spirited, something to capture an essence of her rather than just a face in front of a camera.
So in September this year we managed to snatch a couple of hours together (never easy when we have 4 kids between us and live an hour apart!) and we disappeared up a mountain 😀
It was about 5pm by the time we got to the summit and the sun was just slipping down towards the horizon, casting a beautiful glow across the purple heathers (or poopoo heaters as my amazing Polish friend calls them 😀 Kamila Kosior… i love your English!! 😀 ) along the rocks.
We just talked and walked and i took photos along the way, she made it easy because her infectious smile makes a perfect picture every time.
For most of the photos i made sure she had the sun behind her because i wanted to overexpose .. i wanted this heavenly hazy spill of light around to give her a glowing outline.
As usual i hulked a bag of lenses up with (because come on…you never know where you may end up…..usually with a gammy shoulder lol ) but i only used the wonderful 50mm 1.4 Sigma Art, my lens of choice at the moment…and it didn’t let me down 😀
Being a summer baby i have always found the warm weather is when i feel most content, spending most of my youth baking in it (and once applied cooking oil to get the perfect tan….oops!) But now as i approach my mid 30’s i find myself doing what i can to look after my skin and i must admit i am beginning to favour crisp, frosty winter mornings….looking out my window across a sea of glittery glistening fields while i’m all cosy and warm by the radiator is nothing but heaven!
I haven’t been very well the past few weeks but i couldn’t resist going out to give the (very excited) horses some carrots and take a few pics of the winter magic thats adorning everything in sight.
