Laurie & Chris ~ Lion Quays Autumn Wedding

Lion Quays Autumn Wedding ~ 10th of September 2021

How gorgeous are these two together!! So utterly in love, it was such an honour to photograph the marriage of these soul mates ❤♥ and so happy to see them get married after having to wait so long.

I spent the morning with Laurie covering the bridal preparations at her parent’s house, and thanks to modern technology and a fancy doorbell camera app Laurie managed to get a spy on Chris & the Groomsmen all suited and booted just as they were leaving, how clever is that! Haha.

They were married at the Lion Quays, which is like going down memory lane for me because that’s where my hubby and I were married almost exactly 11 years ago! And like us, they were lucky with the weather, apart from the odd little outburst of rain there was sunshine too so plenty of time to enjoy the lovely outdoor areas.

There was laughter, lots of it and plenty of shapes thrown on the dance floor too! Chris’s family had all travelled over from Ireland and the speeches and stories were so enjoyable to listen to and it’s gotta be said, they know how to party!! It was a perfect day from start to finish.

Thank you so much for asking me to photograph your special day, I loved meeting all your family and I wish you both a long and happy life together. Suze xx

Jen & Ankur’s Wedding Day | Tower Hill Barns

Jen & Ankur had the most beautiful day for their wedding, they married at All Saints Church in Gresford, and then spent the rest of the day celebrating with all their family and friends at the stunning venue Tower Hill Barns.

Jen’s bridal prep was all done at Tower Hill Barns in their new Bridal Prep room, this new area was the perfect place for her bridal party to get ready and relax out on the balcony terrace before heading off to the Church. Jen’s family, nieces and nephews spent the morning getting ready there too, the kids had great fun playing in the grounds while Jen finished off getting ready in the cottage with her Mum.

It was my first time at All Saints Church and I was so pleased when they told me they were getting married there, it’s such a beautiful place, the grand architecture of the building allows so much light in which makes it perfect for photos! After the ceremony, Jen & Ankur drove away in style, in the back of a Peacock blue 1979 Rolls-Royce…. my favourite car from Chester Wedding Cars.

The rest of the day was spent eating, laughing, drinking and having a wonderful time with all their family and friends at Tower Hill Barns. They were blessed with the weather, and had their first dance out on the terrace as the sun set… it really was a perfect day!

Emily & Nathan | Plas Hafod ~ 24th of July 2021

I was looking forward to Emily & Nathan’s wedding so much, with all the postponing of weddings over the past 18 months, it’s been such a long wait for everyone and it’s so nice to finally see couples being able to say I Do! ….. and start to celebrate!

I spent the morning with Emily at her parent’s home, I always start with photographing all the details, and for me it’s one of the most nerve-wracking parts, transporting all of the essential bits to areas with better lighting and trying to avoid all hazards along the way! Well, on that morning I had their cat as an assistant while I was photographing the dress….. you can imagine my anxiety as it climbed on top of the archway ready to jump onto the dress…. oh my, can you imagine! Luckily she leaped onto a nearby bush and I was able to let out a big sigh of relief, take the photos then quickly get the dress back inside!

Nathan was getting ready at his parent’s house, which luckily was only a few minutes away so I was able to get some of him getting ready with his brother and then get back in time for Emily getting her dress on. It was absolutely stunning, with delicate embroidery over fine layers of tulle that elegantly fell to the floor.

Emily arrived in style at St. David’s Church in the 1965 Bentley S3 from Chester Wedding Cars. They were married in a beautiful catholic ceremony and then celebrated the day away with their loved ones at Plas Hafod Hotel. Lots of happy tears were shed, especially through the speeches which even had me mopping my eyes as I struggled to see behind the camera… once the Groom goes, or the Dads, then that’s me…I’m gone too!

And to finish a perfect day, as the sun set, they drank, laughed, and danced the night away!
